Golf Courses: The Next Drone Mapping Opportunity
Drone Tech Aerospace received a mention in a Pix4D-featured industry article on why golf courses were emerging as a significant opportunity for drone mapping. The piece quoted Mike Davis, then CEO of the US Golf Association, on how course owners were turning to technology and data to manage resources such as water and labour more efficiently.
At the time, DTA judged the UK golf market to be lagging the more progressive approach already visible in the US, and positioned itself to serve UK courses with the mapping, photography and video capabilities it had already built. Managing Director David Field said DTA had "already proven our technical and commercial abilities to deliver a complete range of drone technology services to golf clubs" and was actively pursuing prospective clients in the sport to put those services to commercial use.
