Drone Surveys across Chepstow, Abergavenny & Monmouth
Drone roof, heritage and structural inspections across Chepstow, Abergavenny, Crickhowell and Monmouth in Mid & Border Wales.
Chepstow sits at the gateway to South Wales on the border with Gloucestershire, and it anchors DTA's wider programme of work across Monmouthshire and the Wye Valley. Roof inspection is a core specialism here: domestic, residential, commercial and industrial roofs are all inspected by drone and, where a site calls for it, by our 4x4-mounted elevated-MAST rig, which lets us close-inspect façades and roof edges that drones alone cannot safely approach.
Heritage and structural inspection work is a recurring theme in Chepstow, where the town's historic core has been surveyed using combined drone and structural-inspection techniques. Industrial inspection work has included a full drone inspection of the wind turbines at Longlands Lane Wind Farm in nearby Magor, Newport, and construction monitoring has covered a residential volume survey at Caldicot, just outside Chepstow. The team has also produced promotional aerial photography and video for local events, including Chepstow Castle's Roc festival and the town's annual music festival, alongside general townscape and skyline photography of Chepstow itself.
Abergavenny
DTA's work in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire spans heritage, building and townscape photography. A combined aerial-drone and terrestrial laser-scan structural survey was completed at a heritage site in the area (a technique used where a millimetre-accurate point cloud is needed alongside conventional drone imagery) together with a standard building and roof inspection and townscape aerial photography of the town itself.
Crickhowell
In Crickhowell, Powys, DTA has completed a building and roof inspection captured on video alongside a heritage-site structural inspection combining drone and elevated-MAST techniques: the same pairing used across our heritage work in the wider Chepstow and Mid & Border Wales area.
Monmouth
Monmouth has been the site of several DTA projects, including drone work in the town's congested historic centre, a 3D modelling and measured building survey at Monmouth's Haberdashers' School, and chimney and roof inspection work for local property owners. Aerial photography completed in the town includes a shot of the A40 crossing the Wye Bridge into Monmouth.
