Drone Roof & Façade Inspections in London

Drone roof, façade and construction-site surveys across Central London, Borehamwood, New Southgate and Walton-on-Thames.

Drone Tech Aerospace completes more projects in Greater London and Central London than in any other UK region, working for companies of every size as well as individual private residential clients. Every photograph and video published on our coverage pages for the capital was captured on a genuine, fee-paying project: nothing here is stock photography.

Roof and building-façade inspection is the specialism the London team is best known for: drone and elevated-MAST inspections of chimneys, guttering and other high-level structures sit alongside close-quarters façade inspections across the City, Covent Garden and the wider West End, where flying safely inside dense street canyons and congested airspace calls for currency, training and route planning that many operators simply cannot offer. In July and August 2024 alone that specialism delivered 144 drone roof and façade inspections across Central London for property clients, one of the busiest two-month periods yet for this service in the capital. Individual London jobs on record include tower access inspection work at Rosewood London and roof and façade inspection of the Viaduct Tavern on Newgate Street in the City.

Measured building surveys and 3D/BIM modelling are a regular part of the London workload, including a full survey at Hyde Park Mansions, and DTA has completed a large number of gas-holder and gasometer inspections for utility operators across the capital's industrial sites. Construction-site monitoring is another mainstay: DTA has been flying drone surveys on an HS2 site since 2019, before the first soil was broken, and continues to fly regular progress surveys through construction.

Beyond inspection and monitoring work, the team delivers topographical land surveys, stockpile and earthworks volume surveys, elevated-MAST inspection and photography, golf-course topographical surveys, 3D modelling and promotional photography and video, and internal and confined-space inspections using our caged Elios micro-drone for locations a full-size aircraft cannot safely reach. That promotional photography work has taken in Albion Parade, Kensal Green and the Graduate Centre at Queen Mary University.

Borehamwood

Borehamwood, on the north-west edge of Greater London, has been the site of several DTA construction projects, including a topographical drone survey of a live construction site and combined photography-and-video drone inspection work tracking the same site through its build programme. As with our work across the wider region, clients here can also draw on our telecommunications line-of-sight surveys and fugitive methane gas detection service.

New Southgate

In New Southgate, DTA has carried out elevated-MAST and drone inspections of industrial structures for clients operating in this tightly built-up part of north London, where congested streets and limited safe launch space make MAST-based inspection work as valuable as the drone itself. The same telecommunications line-of-sight and methane-survey services available across Greater London extend to clients here.

Walton-on-Thames

West of the capital in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, our golf-course work for a private club there is one of the more distinctive projects on our books: a full topographical drone survey and 3D model of the course, plus promotional aerial photography and video used in the club's own marketing. It is a good illustration of how the same survey-grade drone platforms we use on construction sites and industrial roofs translate directly into recreational and leisure-sector projects across the wider London area.
